I can't get Origin to Exit upon game launch, the option doesn't seem to exist. It uses an additional Web browser to launch the game and wouldn't work properly when I tried to launch it directly from my Steam library. However, a game like Battlefield 4 had to be launched thru Origin. In at least one case this allowed me to use the Steam overlay in game which is nice. You still must launch the game thru Origin but as long as Origin is set to close after launching, the game will recognize your SC and the configuration you launched it with.įor some origin games you can skip steps and simply find the game's executable file and have steam directly launch the game. But the shortcut gets its own SC configuration. Remember, all you're doing is creating a shortcut in your steam library to launch Origin. The game doesn't give you the steam overlay after being launched thru Origin but alt tabbing works fine to go back and forth. As long as Origin is set to close after launch the game will recognize the steam controller and use the configuration that you opened Origin with. But this allows you to save a custom configuration for each individual "game". Each "game" in your Steam library will only launch Origin.
